Dear Baby Lee,
I never thought it was possible to love someone as much as I do right now, and I haven't even met you yet. I've only known about your existence for about 7 weeks, but I have already made so many life changes and sacrifices to help ensure your safety and well-being. I am sure these feelings will only grow over the next 30 weeks, and I can't imagine how I will feel when you finally make your way into this world. But right now, in this moment, I know that you have captured my heart, and I will never be the same.
I love you,
Mom

Big Purchase
Dear Baby Lee,
Daddy just wanted to say hello and say I cant wait to see you! Tonight your mom and I made a really big purchase, we bought new windows for the house. We are really excited about this purchase. Not only will they help with heating and cooling, but also help with the safety of everyone in the house, and the most important person will be you, our little bundle of joy.
It has been fun telling family and some select friends that you will be arriving. The grandpas and grandmas are really excited that you will be coming. Your aunts, uncles and cousins can't wait to meet you as well.
Love,
Dad

Dear Baby Lee,
This is my first ever blog and you get to receive it!! I'm looking forward to holding you for the first time in about 7 months. I'm so excited for you to join our family. God has blessed me so much with your mommy already and now He has blessed me with becoming a dad. I love you so much already and I have not even met you yet. I can't wait to teach you so many new things as you grow older and older. And I know that you will be teaching me many things just as much!! Sorry this blog is so short, but like I said, it's my first blog post.
Looking forward to meeting you and holding you!
All my love,
Dad
Family
Dear Baby Lee,
In the last post, I mentioned that you were blessed to be born into the Sandquist family. It's true. They are great. I have been blessed over and over by my aunts, uncles, and cousins. (By the time you're reading this, I have no doubt that you will agree with me.)
But, I need to add that you are doubly blessed to be born into the Lee/Johnson family as well! After only knowing this amazing group of people for a little over a year, I am already blown away at the love that they have for each other and for the Lord. Before I met your dad, I could only dream that I would marry into such a wonderful family. Those dreams came true, and I couldn't be more thankful!
Don't ever forget how lucky (BLESSED!) you are to have such amazing relatives: aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, great-aunts, great uncles, great-grandparents, second cousins, etc. Not everyone has such luck.
I love you,
Mom

Nine Weeks
Dear Baby Lee,
It's Thanksgiving Day. We are 9 weeks today, and going strong. :)
In the spirit of Thanksgiving Day, I want you to know that I am thankful for you. I am thankful that your dad and I were to conceive you with very little trouble. (We were married less than 3 months before you came into the picture!) I am thankful that God has entrusted us with such a wonderful gift. And I am thankful (though I have to remind myself of this at times) for the nausea and queasiness that doesn't ever seem to go away these days, because this means that you are using my body to grow and develop.
This pregnancy thing still seems a little surreal to me. I mean right now, as I type, you are growing inside of me. Right now, you are approximately the size of an olive; about 0.9 inches long, and about 0.07 ounces. And you're growing quickly! Just a month ago, you were the size of an appleseed! And a month from now, you will be the size of a peach! (Who knew than comparing you to the size of common foods could be so exciting!?)
Surreal as it may seem right now, you are real. You are a fetus now. A small child being formed within me. Your heart is beating. Your eyes are fully formed. You have tiny earlobes, a mouth, and a nose. You are a baby. Our baby!
Your dad and I have been telling select friends and family about you over the past month and a half. (Keeping this a secret until 12 weeks is suggested, but we couldn't keep quiet about you!) Today will be the big Sandquist Family reveal. Well, Chery already knows. And so do John, Kathy, Katie & Rachel. But the rest of them will find out today. We can only imagine how excited they will be to hear about your upcoming entrance into the world. (And let me tell you: You are extremely blessed to be born into the Sandquist Family. They are some great ones!)
I can't wait to continue updating you on both your development and the happenings of life outside of the womb.
I love you,
Mom
